Anonymous Heroes (translated from Spanish) There are men that lend their screams to my silent voice. There are men that charge with pride the prestigious arms Of being who confronts without fear injustice, Of fighting for ideals, discarding avarice. And when my soul is lightened with misguided truth, They pierce their firm vision only on reality, And embark on battles without name but with a flag, Marking victories on walls of stone with nails of wood. There are men that lost their country and liberty. There are men that have suffered imprisonment and atrocity. There are those that lost their right to be born In the country they choose to love. And there are those men without name or fanfare, Those who do not ask permission to fight for their country, Those unauthorized for recognition and fame, Without loyal followers, be it not their conscience and soul. To these anonymous heroes that answer to the call from within, These anonymous heroes that don't share their pain, These who are not part of groups but of independent conscience, I owe eternal admiration for the cause they dare face. |
